Level up your forum.
For several years, we've been building a new forum platform in PHP 5. Based upon the popular SMF, which we used to develop for (see the FAQ for more), Wedge allows you to create and maintain message boards with a modern twist. Blogs, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, object programming, UTF8, CSS pre-parsing, improved security, drafts, easier theming and modding? Will do! We think that once it's released, you'll agree that Wedge is the best free forum software available.
Read the full feature list. With dozens of new features, including the exclusive Aeva Media gallery system, Wedge puts control back into your hands.

The Pub > How I miss the freedom of coding the easy way...
All Thoughts...
Yesterday at 11:24 PM Actions…Nao » @agent47> Thanks :) These days, it's like the de facto mode everywhere! Under the hood it's still a CSS file on top of the basic theme... I'd like for it to be a default theme... But it's not going to happen.
January 18th, 09:19 AM Actions…agent47 » @Nao> totally digging the dark look
October 24th, 2025, 04:55 PM Actions…Nao » @agent47> At least there's now a thriving community around one of the forums using Wedge ;) https://lestrades.com (by yours truly; PHP 8+ and many Wedge bugs fixed. Couldn't bother to backport them, though!)
September 28th, 2025, 09:54 PM Actions…agent47 » the death of wedge still truly breaks my heart.
July 9th, 2025, 09:15 PM Actions…agent47 » I still can't believe this platform died. So sad!
December 27th, 2024, 07:26 PM Actions…Nao » @Nirose> Promising is for something that failed to live up to its potential. As said below, it's working, it doesn't really need any extra work, you can use it if you want, if you find bugs feel free to ask me for a fix (https://discord.com/users/naolog) :)
August 21st, 2024, 12:47 PM Actions…Nirose » yea :/, it was really promising...
June 2nd, 2024, 08:24 AM Actions…agent47 » so sad to see this place die :(
April 5th, 2023, 04:13 AM Actions…agent47 » Remember me, guys? :)
January 6th, 2023, 04:17 PM Actions…Nao » @starf1> It's considered stable, usable and done. I'm not against adding new features per request, but Wedge is probably doomed to remain the best forum package nobody used. I'm proud of it, and I didn't particularly look forward to working forever on it. Fine :-)
Public area
The Pub

This is the public board, where you can discuss the Wedge project and insult its authors. You can also discuss garlic sausage in here, but really it's not the point.

Documentation

Note: while this can be considered the 'official documentation' for Wedge, it is also unfinished. Let's all be thankful that what's there is there, and hope someone will go forward and offer to help!
